This Thanksgiving,
Deliver more than a meal.
This Thanksgiving and Christmas, the Rescue Mission will prepare and deliver over 5,000 hot holiday meals to individuals and families across Central and Upstate New York. Not just meals served across a dining hall table: meals carried by hand and delivered directly to someone's doorway.
Because for so many of our neighbors, the holidays are quiet. A senior with no one stopping by. A family stretching every dollar. Someone still finding their footing after a hard season. A hot meal on their doorstep says something words rarely can: someone noticed. Someone cares.
Our staff and volunteers aren't just packing meals or serving food in our Emergency Shelter this holiday season. They're offering something harder to measure: hope. That's what we do here, every single day. We pave the pathway to stability with hope, one meal, one night, one person at a time. And none of it happens without the support of donors like you.
Because of gifts like yours, some children in our community may never even know their family struggled to get through the holidays. They won't remember an empty table or a hard conversation about what they had to go without. They'll remember a full table and celebrating the holiday with their family.
None of this happens alone. Cooks in our kitchen before sunrise. Volunteers packing boxes by the hundreds. Drivers navigating neighborhoods they've never seen, just to knock on one more door before dark. It's a lot of hands, moving toward one simple goal: nobody spends the holidays hungry.
A few dollars is all it costs to prepare and deliver one meal. But what it gives back is real: a little dignity, a little company, a reminder that someone in this community was thinking of them. That's worth far more than any dollar amount.
Will you help us reach every doorstep this year? Your gift becomes someone's warm plate on a cold night.
It is Love in Action.
Happy Thanksgiving,
